What I’m Loving Wednesday

Oh, Wednesday… I love you. And I love this stuff.
604214851108_allnighterShockingly, the first two things I’m loving are beauty products. And this makeup setting spray from Urban Decay (hey, I made a rhyme!) is AMAZING. Several weeks ago I asked for a foundation recommendation from my various social media accounts. I got everything from super cheap stuff, to really pricey stuff. I also got a recommendation for this. I bought it, and I LOVE it. I’m not sure it lasts 16 hours, but depending on whether or not my hair is freshly washed, I get about 12.
2256291I hate being really pale, but I also don’t have the patience to lay out by the pool or at the beach all day. What’s a girl to do? Well, buy a really amazing sunless tanner. This St. Tropez bronzing mousse is awesome. It has a slight smell, but it’s not as strong as other sunless tanners. I also have had very minimal streaking with this. My tan looks pretty damned even & natural. 6306eb59-983c-425a-88c6-14ef45373c8bMoving on from beauty products, I am LOVING the flea & tick medicine that Hermione is on. Our dog is very active, and when Graham is home, we spend a lot of time outside with her. No matter what she’s on, I don’t feel like the protection has ever been good enough. I remember one hiking trip that we had to flick off around 100 fleas (and that is not an exaggeration). Our vet recommended this in March, and it is AMAZING. The first week she had it in her system, I picked three ticks off of her, but they were already dead. This past weekend I took her on a walk, and the other dogs came home with ticks, I didn’t find a single one on Hermione. This stuff was pricey ($100+ for a 6 month supply), but it was SO worth it! 73317934e644ef903b46e5a109e8ad04Not sure when I started obsessing over all things gold, but I have been for a while now. And this set of gold flatware is my latest obsession. I actually love this set more, but $90 for 5 pieces is more than a little out of my price range… delanceyI’ve been reading John Adams by David McCullough since finishing Lincoln, and I definitely should have read about other presidents first, and finished with Lincoln. The others aren’t nearly as interesting. Needing a break, I started reading Delancey. Delancey was written by Molly Wizenberg (week 20 of my 50 Women project…) and this book is excellent. I honestly feel like I could be reading about Graham. I took it to the pool with me on Monday, and read almost the entire thing. I definitely recommend this for summer beach reading. It’s very easy to get into, but the characters are more interesting (probably since they’re actually real people…) than the characters in the chick lit I usually prefer.

You’ve started loving all things gold because we have become friends. I’ve never thought to have gold silverware before… I soooo want them!! (But yeah, super pricey!) Also, someone else told me to try that flea and tick stuff. Will definitely have to give it a shot since you are raving about it too. Lastly, did the tanner leave your hands orange? That happened to me the last time I used anything like it… I may have to give it a shot before florida so I don’t look albino.

It left my hands super dark the first time. But now, I do one arm & wash my hands, another arm & wash, a leg & wash, etc. And my palms are a normal color 🙂
